About Tulach Ard


Explore the region of Badenoch and Strathspey and Nairn to the coastal waters of Moray. The Cairngorm National Park on our doorstep providing the hillocks; munros galore and mountains peaks just waiting got the day they can inspire you.

Mountain biking, kayaking, gorge walking and for those wishing to slow down views galore off the beaten track. A secure steel storage unit is provided within the rear courtyard for the safe storage of up to four bicycles. Our RSPB centres and bird watching locations are numerous. Just ask for information.

Our roads in and out of Grantown on Spey have been the main artery for the North East 250 Route; the routes to Ballater, Braemar and Deeside which take all via historical ‘The Snow Road’ one of the very first roads into our Scottish Highlands. Grantown on Spey provides access onto The North Coast 500 Route and West Coast Islands and our northern Highlands which are quite amazing! Our family roots are on The Isle of Skye.


Guests booking Tulach Ard House in Grantown get free reign of the house and all facilities including Kitchen, Dining Room and Laundry Room. It's just like home from home but in the Highlands of Scotland.

Each of the 3 superior bedrooms in Tulach Ard has a generous doubled front mirrored wardrobe for your luggage and much more. The comfortable and spacious open plan lounge area provides for all with a garden and guest parking at front of Tulach Ard and to the rear too. A secure steel storage unit is provided within the rear courtyard for the safe storage of up to four bicycles. Tulach Ard was built with our guests needs in mind.

Guest Car Parking

Here a Tulach Ard, we offer free parking for all our guests, for the whole duration of their stay. Depending on occupancy, parking can be found at the front or rear of Tulach Ard.

All our rooms come with guest ensuite facilities including bath and/or shower in all of our rooms.

Open Plan Living

Open plan, with full oak flooring. A Biomass woodburning stove for that "open fire" feel after a long day walking and having fun. Double patio doors lead to our outside decking. Our guests are welcome to sit and enjoy our garden as late afternoon / evening sun is gorgeous.

Washing Facilties

A laundry room with washing machine and drier is provided on the upper floor for guest use.

We are situated within the Cairngorm National Park so visitors can expect some stunning scenery and so our guests will have some of most amazing views that the Highlands has to offer.
